5.27 Most rail journeys (60%) originating in the South West in 2005/06 were to destinations elsewhere in the region. However, 19% of journeys originating in the South West were destined for London, 10% the South East, 4% Wales and 3% the West Midlands. The remaining English regions and Scotland accounted for 4% of journey destinations.
