Introduction
12.1 This chapter offers an overview of the region’s political and governance structures. It outlines the roles of some of the key organisations and agencies, and how their respective agendas complement each other. Regional government places great emphasis on working with communities, therefore this chapter also examines some of the partnerships that have been established to foster productive relationships between Government and local people.
