Globalisation and the South West
As companies now compete in global markets, it is essential that they are competitive. If Globalisation is faster than anticipated or the South West does not adjust to seize opportunities and mitigate risks, the results could be costly. In July 2007, Deloitte was commisioned by SWRDA to undertake the above study in order to review available evidence regarding Globalisation and its potential impact on the South West economy, assess the region's competitive position in the European context, and identify policy implications to best leverage the opportunities and defend against the threats stemming from increasingly global markets.
