Economics Demystified (October 2010)

Economics Demsystified (feat. Power Buoy/RDA; Princess Hay Retail Development/RDA; Plymouth Railway Station/RDA-Tom Smith; Drake Circus Mall RDA/Tom Smith; Sustainable Surfing RDA/Dave Young)
Knowing your GVA from your GDP, your RPI from your CPI.... this event, hosted by the SWO Economy Module on Tuesday 26th October, sought to unravel the fundamental economic principles that underlie economic development - be it national, regional and local. It did so in the context of the unprecedented challenges facing the economy today, including the pressing need for public/private sector rebalancing. In addition, the session provided an overview of the South West Regional Accounts and the vital role they can play in constructing a robust economic evidence base for any geography.
