Census Outputs and Analysis Planning (September 2012)

The morning session included demonstrations and updates on some of the new ONS data dissemination tools, including Data Explorer (not yet available online). ONS and the ESRC also updated delegates on their analysis programmes.

The afternoon session provided an opportunity for Observatory network members (including SWSLIM, SWPHO plus LA research teams) to discuss and present their own plans for understanding and interpreting the Census results.

By mapping out analysis programmes across national and subnational geographies, the aim of the day was to understand how we make the best use of this rich source of information, helping also to identify any duplication or gaps in analysis which could be filled through collaboration and/or sharing resource.
