In March, SWO ran a course led by Nigel Jump, Visiting Professor in Economics at the University of Bath, Executive Director of Strategic Economics and former Chief Economist at the South West Regional Development Agency, which explored economics and the economy in 2012.
This took delegates through some of the principles of economics for development and also how to use these to interpret current economic trends and policies. It also looked at the prospects for and needs of local economies in the medium term.
