Former Government Office Regions
Former Government Office Regions
With the abolition of the Government Offices in March 2011 and widespread changes to government agencies and other organisations previously working with 'traditional' regional boundaries (see across), SWO has put together this web page to help map how the country is being divided in different ways.

Below you'll find maps of the new geographies for the Cabinet Office Regional Research teams; the Cabinet Office has split the country into five  areas. You'll also find a map for the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA); the HCA has split its work between six regional locations including London.

In time we will add additional maps for the Environment Agency and for the Public Health Observatories although both, at the time of writing, are still in some state of flux. These will be added in due course.

> Click on the maps to access the external sites for the organisations involved. These will open in new windows.

> Should you have any questions about these maps, please contact ray.perrins@swo.org.uk.
