Super Output Area Lookup Tool

IMPORTANT - Errors were found in the overall IMD score, Living Environment and Crime domains in June 2004. The IMD score on these pages HAS been updated with the new set.

These pages have been written to enable a quick lookup table of SOAs in specific Authority areas and wards - it also returns the 2004 Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) score and rank for the selected SOAs. To speed the pages up it has been split into three stages - any of which can be bookmarked or have the address copied to e-mail for later use. First select the region you are interested in.

Alternatively, if you wish to find which authority and ward contain a particular SOA use the second option.

SOA Code
 

This facility is provided "as is" and was put together quickly to meet local needs. It uses data provided by ODPM and ONS from May 2004.

Standard Table Ward Codes and names are used throughout which means that some small wards may not result in any SOAs - you need to check your own area - In the South West this applies only to wards in the Isles of Scilly (all listed under St Mary's) and 4 wards on Exmoor. Refer to the Ward History Database for translations.

Whilst we cannot promise to make any improvements or enhancements to this system, we will be interested to hear all comments and suggestions. Please contact the Core Unit with any such comments.
