Finding SWO

• East Reach House is at the far end (non-town end) of East Reach. It is the former Taunton Hospital and is still known by many as such. Our entrance is at ground level to the left of the building (not the Somerset PCT entrance, which is up stairs in the centre of the building). 

From the Station

The SWO Core Unit offices are approximately 20 minutes walk from Taunton Train Station. From the station follow signs to the town centre for two or three minutes until you reach the traffic lights. 
 
Turn left at the lights into Priory Bridge Road and follow the road with the fomer market on your left-hand side and  Morrisons supermarket will be on your left. Crossing the river, take the second right hand turn down Winchester Street. At the end of Winchester Street walk through Victoria Park coming out of the with a Pay & Display carpark on your left hand side. Walk down this side street and at the end of the road cross at the lights. Our offices are located in the building directly opposite with the entrance at ground level slightly to the left looking directly ahead.

Travelling by Car

From Junction 25 of the M5 follow the directions to Taunton along the 'Toneway' dual carriageway - passing a small roundabout and crossing a major junction with the A38 at 'Creech Castle' - for about 1 mile. You will reach a roundabout shortly after the start of the 40mph restrictions start. 
 
Turn left into Critchard Way and follow the road (it shortly becomes East Reach) round to the right, past more traffic lights. Shortly after the lights, turn right into Victoria Gate for the small pay car park.

NEW - We would recommend that visitors travelling to Taunton by car take advantage of the new Taunton Flyer Park & Ride service whenever possible. There are two main stops (with car parks) located at Silk Mills to the east of the town and at the Taunton Gateway, just off Junction 25, to the west of the centre. When using the SWO postcode, an error has been reported by a number of visitors on GPS satellite navigation systems. Drivers are advised not to use the postcode because the satellite destination is 1 mile from our actual premises. Please input the following address in to your navigation systems:
